Eight schools across Watford and Bushey have competed in a debate at the House of Commons.
Bushey Meads school proved victorious after an intense final with Bushey Academy.
The debates, which also included teams from Watford Grammar School for Girls, Watford Grammar School for Boys, Parmiters, Francis Combe, St Michaels and Queens’ schools, took place in two chambers of the House of Commons.
The competition was overseen by Watford MP Richard Harrington, prospective MP for Hertsmere Oliver Dowdern, South West Hertfordshire MP David Gauke and Burton MP Andrew Griffiths.
It is the fourth year of the competition, which for the past three years has been won by Queens'.
Bushey Meads was presented with a trophy, which will be retained by the school until the next competition.
