An apprenticeships training provider in Watford has been rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in its first inspection.

3AAA Watford Academy, Clarendon Road, works with young people and employers to deliver employment opportunities and teaching and assessments.

The Aspire Achieve Advance initiative, which has its headquarters in Derby, was graded 'Outstanding' because inspectors noted apprentices make "excellent progress", assessment is rigorous and performance management is very strong.

Watford MP Richard Harrington added: "I’m not surprised at all that 3AAA have been awarded as an outstanding centre, it is an outstanding service they are providing.

"Apprenticeships are a great option for people to consider, and over 3,000 apprentices have been hired in Watford since 2010 with the help of companies like 3AAA.

"The Government have this week announced that businesses employing apprentices aged under 25 will also now receive a tax break, so please if you are considering taking someone on, consider an apprentice."
