Christmas bin collections will be taken a week later, under plans announced by the council.
Three Rivers District Council will be collecting rubbish that was due to be collected next Thursday and Friday on Friday, January 2 and Saturday, January 3 respectively.
However, the authority said that on these two days, only two extra bags of refuse will be taken, but extra recycling will be taken in plastic bags over the Christmas and New Year period.
No brown bins will be collected between Friday, December 19 and Friday, January 5.
All other collections will remain the same.
Three Rivers District Council said real Christmas trees will be collected on brown bin days after the extended period where the bins are not being collected.
