Crowds gathered in Leavesden Country Park earlier this week to kick-off the Christmas season with the Christmas Carols in the Park event.
The event on Tuesday, December 16 was organised by park ranger Damien Weller and hosted at the YMCA Woodlands centre. A generous £189 was raised and donated to the centre's Health and Wellbeing Projects.
Leavesden Councillor Martin Brooks said: "It was a festive, neighbourly and memorable way to start off the holiday season. It was a great way for all of us that visit the park on a regular basis to get together and give thanks for what we have so close to us.
"This is the eighth year the YMCA and the park have joined together to host this event which keeps getting bigger all the time. Thanks to Damien's hard work and dedication in supporting this event."
