A 31-year-old man suffered "serious injuries" after he was hit by a car in Watford in the early hours of the morning.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information after the road traffic collision in St Albans Road, close to Windsor Road, at about 1.35am.
A Vauxhall Insignia was involved in a collision with the pedestrian, who sustained serious injuries and was taken to St Mary’s hospital in London.
The injured man, who police described as white and 31-years of age, is in a serious but stable condition.
Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact PC Andy Ralph from the collision investigation unit via the non-emergency number 101.
