The sister of a pedestrian involved in a collision with a car in Watford said her family is "praying he will pull through" as they appeal for witnesses to come forward.

Joe, 31, was involved in a collision with a Vauxhall Insignia close to Windsor Road at about 1.35am and taken to St Mary’s Hospital in London.
Ms Sheward posted on the Observer's Facebook page: "Thanks for all those who are concerned.
"He has had to have heart surgery from injuries caused by the incident and is now in a stable but serious condition in the trauma unit at St. Mary's, London.
"Please if their are any witnesses to help my family and the police understand what happened then please please get in contact with the police.
"My brother is also a father, son, uncle and we are hoping and praying he will pull through. We would be extremely grateful for any information."
Contact police on the non-emergency 101 enquiry line with any information about the collision.
