A Bushey Heath resident has appealed to the Secretary of State after Hertsmere Borough Council refused to grant planning permission to for an extension to his home.
Matthew Sugars proposed a part single, part two storey rear extension and roof alterations to his home in Warren Road.
The council refused the application on the grounds that the bulk, mass and architechtural style of the proposal does not go with the character of the original buildng, specifically the rooflight, parapet walling and window style.
The appeal will be determined on a writtern basis in the next eight weeks.
