A “sexual predator" from Watford has been sentenced to seven years in prison today.
Steven Godden, 54 and of Vicarage Road, was sentenced to seven years in jail after being found guilty of 12 counts of sexual activity with a girl aged between 11 and 15.
Godden was found guilty on Monday, September 22.
Detective Constable Lee Hill from the Safeguarding Adults from Abuse unit said: “Steven Godden is a sexual predator who targeted his young victim over a number of years.
"No-one should suffer this type of abuse and in Hertfordshire we have a number of dedicated teams working to protect vulnerable people and investigate these types of cases.
“I hope this sentence will give others who have suffered similar abuse the courage to contact police so that we can bring offenders to justice.”
