The annual pancake race will be coming to Rickmansworth next week.

Now in its 14 year, Watford Mencap will be holding the pancake race in Rickmansworth High Street on Tuesday, February 17.

The race starts at 11am.

Organisers are encouraging local businesses to wear fancy dress or company T-shirts as they race down the High Street flipping pancakes.

Carol Tunstall, fundraising manager at Watford Mencap, said: "It is a really fun event and an annual tradition in Rickmansworth.

"It brings the community together and all the money raised is for a great local charity.

"Last year we set a new record and raised more than £2,500 and we are hoping this year will be even better."

All money raised by the event will support people in Watford and Three Rivers who have a learning disability, with provisions also going towards carers.

Watford Mencap supports 800 people in the two districts and the charity will be entering a team in the race.

Rickmansworth High Street will be closed during the event.
