Beechen Grove WI president Pammie Timmis
Membership of the Watford Women’s Institute has grown 60 per cent in the last six months as the group’s 30th anniversary celebrations draw near.
The Beechen Grove branch will mark the anniversary with a lunch from midday to 4pm at Beechen Grove Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 4.
This year also marks the centenary of the Women's Institute.
Beechen Grove WI president Pammie Timmis has been invited to represent the branch at the Institute’s annual general meeting, which will be streamed online at the Royal Albert Hall.
Ms Timmis said: "I am proud to be representing our branch there on the day."
