Hornets heroes, including captain Troy Deeney, have lent their support to a children’s air ambulance charity after meeting with its trustee and an Abbots Langley couple whose daughter was stillborn just before Christmas.
Lucy Rose Oliver was "born sleeping" in early December at 32 weeks.
Her mum Kelly Allen-Darkes and dad Martin have raised nearly £1,500 for LUCY Air Ambulance for Children through their JustGiving page.
As keen Watford supporters, Kelly and Martin said they were delighted when the club offered their support and invited the couple to meet the players after a training session.
Deeney donated a pair of his signed football boots, which helped raise £118 for the charity in an ebay auction.
Trustee of LUCY and Watford fan Tim Younger also met the players.
He said: "As a Trustee of LUCY I am very grateful to Kelly and Martin for their generous support at what is such a difficult time for them.
"And, as a life-long Watford supporter I would like to thank them for their time and hospitality.
"They really were so friendly and helpful."
