A woman has been arrested on suspicion of theft from north Watford cemetery following reports artificial flowers had been removed from a grave.
The 59-year-old woman from Watford was arrested on Sunday, February 22, outside the cemetery in North Western Avenue after police were alerted to the alleged theft at around 9am.
She has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Detective Constable Adam Stout said: "There have been a number of incidents at the cemetery in recent weeks and understandably, thefts of this nature can cause considerable upset to the families affected.
"Our investigations are on-going and I would like to appeal to anyone who may have had anything removed from the graves of their loved ones or any information which could assist the investigation to contact the Herts police non-emergency number on 101."
