A Bushey college has teamed with a learning needs charity to launch the Purim Bucket Challenge.

Students at Immanuel College are working with Kisharon, which supports children and adults with complex learning needs, to raise as much money as possible for the charity.

Richard Franklin, Kisharon’s director of fundraising and communications, addressed around 50 students across years seven to 13 at the Bushey-based school.

He said: "Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, and the school's charity programme is very impressive - the impact that you make can never be underestimated."

Last year, 200 Kisharon Kollectors helped raise £25,000 for the charity by putting on Purim Spiels and entertaining families and friends.

The charity hopes to raise at least the same amount this year through the bucket challenge, which will take place around the Purim festival on Thursday, March 5.

Prizes, including a helicopter ride and Amazon vouchers, will be awarded to the people who collect the most donations. For more information call Jo on 0203 393 0162 or email purim@kisharon.org.uk.
