Carpenders Park Cemetery has been broken into in but police have confirmed nothing was stolen.
Officers said the cemetery, in Oxhey Lane, was broken into between 4.15pm on Tuesday, February 24 and 6.45am on Wednesday, February 25.
A fence was broken during the break-in.
Giles Cooper, spokesman for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: “They have tried to gain entry into a storage unit, causing damage to that.
“They have then gone into another area, but nothing has been stolen and then they have left the area.”
