An award-winning author will be visiting a Mill End school this week.
Dave Shelton, who won the 2013 Branford Boase Award for his debut novel, A Boy and a Bear in a Boat, will be visiting St Peter’s VA Primary School, Church Lane on Friday.
The author will be visiting the school as part of World Book Day 2015 and will talk about his novels, before running a writer’s workshop with years five and six.
Rachel Scarborough, deputy head teacher at St Peter’s said: “Events like Book Week give children the opportunity to enjoy a book, learn the craft of writing and enjoy protected time to focus on English, literacy and storytelling.”
