A major road in Chorleywood will be closed until Friday while trees are cut back near the railway line.
Hertfordshire County Council started the work near Station Approach yesterday and the work is scheduled to last until Friday.
Station Approach has been closed during the work.
Andrew Dawson, spokesman for Hertfordshire County Council, said: “Some of the trees have over-grown over the rail track and the rail company has mentioned trains were clipping the trees as they went past, so we are trimming them back.”
A diversion is in place and road users will be taken through Green Street and Common Road.
