A jury has been discharged in the case of a retired accountant who is said to have handed over his savings and re-mortgaged his home after being tricked by builders.
This afternoon Judge John Plumstead stopped the trial at St Albans Crown Court for legal reasons.
A new jury is expected to be sworn in on Monday.
The case involves a 68-year-old who paid out for work carried out on his Cassiobury Park Avenue home in Watford.
