The chairman of Three Rivers District Council visited his former school in Northwood last week and encouraged older pupils to use public transport or walk to school.
Councillor Chris Lloyd visited St Martin’s School, Moor Park Road, on Friday, February 27.
The Liberal Democrat chairman took part in the school’s Eco Committee, which looks at ways of saving energy at the school, before talking about what his position means and the work he undertakes.
He then encouraged older pupils to walk to school, or use public transport to reduce carbon emissions.
