A £66,000 upgrade aimed at giving Watford Leisure Centre Central a more welcoming and friendly feel for customers has been completed.
The investment follows the £250,000 spent upgrading facilities at the centre, operated by Everyone Active in partnership with Watford Borough Council, last year.
Pool side changing room have been renovated with eight new shower cubicles and the poolside showers have been replaced and refreshed with new tiles, shower fittings and spot lights.
Redecoration has taken place throughout and new energy efficient LED lights have been installed in the gym, which are said to save as much as 60 per cent electricity compared to traditional light fittings.
Manager Karl Miles said: “The latest upgrade work at Watford Leisure Centre Central has made the facility a more enjoyable and pleasant place for customers and staff. We are committed to providing the best facilities and services possible for the local community and as such investment is one of our core principles.”
