ALAN GAFFNEY should have a near fully-fit squad to choose from for the mouth-watering clash with Gloucester on Sunday week, after receiving some encouraging news on the fitness of Cobus Visagie this week.

It had been feared that the Springbok titan had dislocated his elbow in the victory over London Irish but a scan on Tuesday revealed Visagie has sustained only bruising to the bone.

The news is further evidence that Sarries luck may be finally changing on the injury front.

However, the loss of Visagie would not have been greeted with the usual despair as in Census Johnston they have a more than adequate replacement.

"Cobus is fine," reported director of rugby Gaffney . "He's got some bone bruising which is not terrific but it's a lot better than it could have been. All things being right, Cobus will be OK for Gloucester."

The home game with the Cherry and Whites will provide the ultimate examination of the Men in Black's top four credentials and they will go into the game in buoyant mood.

"We are in good form at the minute and I'm very happy with the way the boys are playing," added Gaffney, who took his squad to Jersey on Wednesday for a five-day training camp.

"We are playing a good brand of attacking rugby and the boys have a lot of faith in what they are doing and have trust in the players around them.

"The more belief and trust we have the better we will be but we are going in the right direction. We did some very good things against London Irish and should have scored some tries.

"We need to start completing some of the good lead up work we have been doing and we are not quite there yet."
