Lead singer of B*Witched, Edele Lynch, received an emerald welcome today from Watford FC's Rene Gilmartin.
The 27-year-old keeper, who returned to the Hornets in August on a one-year contract, met Edele at Vicarage Road Stadium, ahead of her performances at Watford Colossem next month.
The 35-year-old popstar will be starring in The Pirates of Treasure Island - an adaptation of the Robert Louis Stevenson's classic that blends storytelling with pantomime and musical theatre.
Edele said: "This is my first time, I’ve never done anything like this before and I am excited about it. I was offered the role, and I didn't take to long to think about it – for me it’s about being on stage, I love it.
"I'm really looking forward to it. I'm playing a bad Irish pirate so I'm lucky I've got the Irish accent and I'm also going to be singing C'est la Vie in the finale, which I'm excited about."
The spectacular adventure runs at Watford Colosseum from Tuesday 7 to Wednesday 8 April.
