A man has been jailed for six weeks after repeatedly stealing from shops in Rickmansworth.
Kevin Brown, 37, was sentenced to six weeks in prison after stealing from Superdrug, WH Smith and Halfords in High Street on Friday, July 25 and Monday, September 8.
The man from West Drayton was charged with three counts of theft. He was sentenced to six weeks in prison for the first count of theft, and six weeks in prison for the second and third counts, but magistrates ordered these sentences to run concurrently to the first sentence.
Hertfordshire Constabulary said on one occasion, Brown stole more than £600 worth of face creams from Superdrug.
The police added the 37-year-old was stopped by PCSO Alan Waller in Rickmansworth High Street on Tuesday, December 2 following information from a member of the public which led to his identity being discovered.
Brown appeared at St Albans Magistrate Court on Monday, February 23.
