Workers in Watford are able to concentrate for longer periods than professionals in most other regions of the UK, according to a new survey by workspace provider Regus.
Three in 10 people in Watford said they could concentrate of a task for more than three hours - the third best score behind Dartford and Portsmouth.
Regus asked 3000 workers across the UK how long they can productively focus in a distraction-free environment without a break.
Chris Pullen, managing director of field operations at Regus, said practices, such as, working from home makes it harder for workers to focus on the task at hand.
He said: "Working environments play a huge role in the ability to focus, and these findings feed into a broader conversation about the importance of a quiet, professional setting for optimum productivity.
"Working at home can bring a multitude of distractions and interruptions. Similarly, using other popular alternative locations such as coffee shops will often result in disturbances - whether caused by unreliable wifi or disruptive noise-levels."
