Residents at a Chorleywood residential home took part in a seaside-themed lunch last Friday.

Chefs at Sunrise Senior Living of Chorleywood in High View prepared a seaside themed lunch for residents on Friday, March 20.

Residents enjoyed a fish and chips lunch, which was followed by music, cakes and tea and coffee.

Chefs also provided examples of dishes which are suitable for residents with dysphagia, which means difficulty swallowing and chiefs at the residential home say this demonstrates how specialised food can be made appealing and appetising.

Manj Uppal, Director of Community Relations at Sunrise of Chorleywood, said: "We all had a wonderful day. It was a great opportunity to celebrate the Taste of Sunrise and a chance to educate people about the need for a nutritious diet as you grow older.

"We want to thank our dining team who work hard every day to ensure every single resident receives exceptional food which meets their individual needs, and that our residents enjoy the highest quality of care. We are so proud of them.

"Dining for a lot of our residents is the focal part of the day and it is important that what they are served gives them something to look forward to."
