Twice-monthly Tea 'n' Chat sessions are being launched by after residents used a video diary to call for more social activities in the area.

Watford Community Housing Trust is helping Leggatts and Foxhill Residents' Association to run the sessions, after the trust recently conducted a video diary community survey called the "Comments Campervan", to find out what people thought was missing in their community areas.

Residents said they wanted to see more activities for the community to take place in their local hub.

People can come along to the free sessions, which will take place from 2-4pm on the first and third Wednesday of every month, to make new friends and socialise with neighbours while enjoying a hot drink, cakes and cookies.

Jackie Tyrrell, community development officer at the trust, said: "Being stuck at home as we get older is a real problem these days - sometimes people can go for days or even weeks without interacting with more than one person at a time. Come and join Leggatts and Foxhill Residents' Association for interesting discussions, games and much more."
