A Watford 22-year-old is vying for the title of Miss Hertfordshire.

Jasmine Orr, of Water Lane, is a Miss Hertfordshire finalist for the second year running and will be battling for the crown at the Ibis Hotel, Stevenage on April 26.

The 22-year-old last year raised more than £800 for the Miss England and Miss World Charity 'Beauty With A Purpose', which supports disadvantaged children, by completing a Skydive and hosting a charity fundraiser at Chocolate Bar, Watford.

In total the Miss Hertfordshire girls raised more than £1,600 for Beauty With A Purpose and donated a heart monitor to Lister Hospital's Children's Ward.

The former Loreto Girls Catholic School pupil will be holding a charity black tie event at Que Pasa, Watford, which includes a raffle with £600 of prizes with health and beauty experiences.

Special guests will include Miss Hertfordshire 2014 Charlotte White, first runner up in Miss Cambridgeshire 2015, Mr and Miss Hampshire Mark Young and Larissa Hirst and Miss Basingstoke Nicola Louise Ashcroft.

Jasmine is determined to win the title to be an inspiration, in particular to foster children as she was fostered until she was 19 and should she win a place at the Miss England finals her fundraising charity of choice would be related to supporting foster children.

The recruitment consultant, who is studying to be a paramedic, said: "I think it's safe to say the residents of Hertfordshire will be well pampered and looked after my event."

Entry is raffle ticket only at £2 a ticket or £5 a strip.

There are three rounds to the Miss Hertfordshire competition - the red dress round, the eco dress round and the evening gown round.

Jasmine and her main sponsor bespoke dress designer, April Banbury, are also planning a joint event aimed at assisting girls throughout the prom season.
