A petition to save Watford Met tube station has gained nearly 1,800 signatures.
Watford MP Richard Harrington was at Watford Metropolitan Station to receive a petition opposing the closure of the station planned when the Croxley Rail Link becomes operational from Carol Scleater on Saturday, March 28.
So far almost 1,800 signatures have been collected from commuters, residents, school children, cyclists, disabled people and people using the park.
Thanks were extended to Lester Wagman, who originated the petition, and Michael Fish for his expertise and support. Mr Harrington informed the gathering he would deliver the petition and all comments to the Secretary of State for Transport Patrick McLoughlin MP.
Signatures are still being received at: http://www.gopetition.com/petition/42760.html.
