CLYDE boss Joe Miller has highlighted the need for his side's attitude to be spot on when the Bully Wee head to Firhill tomorrow for the final derby of the season.

The Broadwood club have had the better of the three previous exchanges with Jags, recording one win, while the two other games, including a 1-1 stalemate at Firhill in November, were drawn.

Clyde will roll up in their best form of the season after successive victories over Dundee and Gretna.

And Miller said: "What has been most important about our victories has been our attitude and that will need to be in place again tomorrow at Firhill. We know Partick will be hurting after their Scottish Cup quarter-final defeat at Dunfermline and they will want to put on a big performance for their support.

"As a result, we need to make sure that we deliver a high-energy performance from the first whistle."

The Bully Wee's impressive recent form has been doubly so given that they have lost the services of three of their most influential performers in Eddie Malone and Stephen O'Donnell to St Mirren and skipper Paul McHale to Dundee.

And Miller has admitted his pleasure at the response from his squad to their departure.

He said: "It has been great that we've managed to show we have such strength in depth. The response to losing three such key players has been tremendous.

"But we have an unbeaten record against Partick this season and we are determined to leave Firhill with that intact at teatime tomorrow."

The Broadwood side will continue to be without crocked skipper Neil McGregor with Michael McGowan deputising.

Elsewhere, fourth-placed Hamilton Accies will host Airdrie United with boss Billy Reid expecting a determined onslaught from the relegation-haunted Diamonds.
