CRAIG GORDON feels Craig Beattie's late winner against Georgia could help Scotland in taming Italy.
The Hearts keeper believes Scotland may have had to push forward for victory in Bari, had they only picked up a point at Hampden.
The Scotland No.1 said: "It looked as if it was ebbing towards a draw - we would have been disappointed if we had to go over to Italy and really push to try and win that game.
"We will go over there and we will try to defend very well and we'll be organised and try and hit them on the break, similar to what we did here against France."
