Watford star Ikechi Anya was at St Michael’s Catholic High School and Specialist College this week to present a fundraising prize Hornets shirt.
The High Elms Lane school undertakes an annual pilgrimage to Lourdes, where 25 Year 10 students travel, support and care for a group of sick, elderly and disabled for a week.
At a fundraising dinner an auction was held for a signed Watford FC shirt - which was won by businessman Danny Perman, but he gave it to life-long fan James Turner who attends the pilgrimage every year.
Ikechi Anya presented the framed shirt to James on Tuesday afternoon at the school.
The school would like to hear from individuals or businesses who would be interested in sponsoring the students.
