Two more teenagers have been arrested in connection with the attack on Watford FC fan Nic Cruwys.

West Midlands Police confirmed a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were arrested at their home addresses in Staffordshire and Wolverhampton.

The 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of wounding while the 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

Nine teens have now been arrested in connection with the attack on the father-of-two, who is affectionately known as ‘Moo’.

Last week, Mr Cruwys’ family revealed the 44-year-old is able to walk with some help and they hope he will be moved closer to home in the coming weeks.

The statement published on Watford FC’s official website read: “Nic has been moved out of an Intensive Care Unit and into a high dependency ward where he has made some steady progress.

“He is able to walk with some assistance, though still has a long road ahead in terms of getting back to full fitness, it is fair to say he is making the kind of progress which four weeks ago, we could only have dreamt about.”

All nine of the teenagers are due to answer bail on Tuesday, May 5.
