An independent girls school in Bushey has updated it's security without compromising the listed building.
St Margaret's School, which covers 74 acres, upgraded it's fire and security measures, with minimal alteration to the nineteenth century architecture of the Grade II listed buildings.
Colin Currie, facilities manager at the school said: "As a school, it is our absolute priority to ensure the security of everyone who works and learns here.
"And in the school holidays when the boarding facilities are let out, we need to ensure security measures are optimized for the safety and security of visitors.
"In addition for St Margaret’s, the historical significance of the school as a prominent educational establishment is essential to protect and it is our responsibility to make sure it is cared for at every level."
