A man has been charged in connection with two burglaries which took place on the same street in Watford this week.

Marvyn Mulvey, 37, of no fixed address, was arrested in the town on Tuesday, April 14, on suspicion of burglary and going equipped to steal.

He has been charged in connection with two burglaries in Loates Lane on Tuesday, April 14, where the glass in the rear patio doors of both homes were smashed.

During one of the incidents a laptop stolen from inside the property, in the other no items were stolen from within.

Mr Mulvey was to appear at Hatfield Remand Court on Thursday, April 16.

Detective Inspector Phil Moss, who is investigating burglaries in Watford and South Oxhey, said: "This is a complex investigation and our work continues to detect these crimes, prevent further incidents and keep the public safe."
