Police are appealing for witnesses to an alleged assault of a 70-year-old driver after a car crash in Kings Langley.

The crash at around 5pm on Sunday, April 5, involved a grey/silver Range Rover Evoque and a grey Audi travelling from Chipperfield in the direction of Kings Langley.

After the collision, both parties involved stopped and an altercation followed.

It is alleged the driver of the Audi, a man in his 70s, was assaulted.

Assistant Investigator Stuart Murray said: "I would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or the events prior to it and has yet to come forward.

"If you saw what happened or the two vehicles before the incident, please contact me as soon as possible."

A 48-year-old man from Chipperfield was arrested on suspicion of assault and released on police bail until May 13.
