The driver who killed a heroic father who was trying to help someone who jumped from a bridge over the M1, has been spared jailed today.
Iram Shahzad, 32, was handed a 14 month suspended sentence at St Albans Crown Court today.
The mother-of-three pleaded guilty in March to causing death by careless driving after Spencer Bell, 71, was killed as he rushed to the aid of Alan Tretheway.
The 67-year-old had jumped from a bridge on the M1 on Thursday, January 30 last year.
