A Watford mother will be having her hair shaved off for charity this weekend and the money raised will go towards her father's bucket list.

Krissie Power, 29, of Whippendell Road, Watford, will be shaving her head at The Red House, Watford Road, Croxley Green and the money raised during the event will go towards her father’s bucket list after he was diagnosed with lymphoma.

Krissie’s father- Andy Newton, 53- was also diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis more than ten years ago, but Ms Power said he hopes to fly over the Grand Canyon in a helicopter and visit Las Vegas in the future.

The mother-of-three said: "I think he has been so positive, his glass has always been half full and looking on the bright side rather than the negative side.

"He is wheelchair bound but it does not stop him and I just thought it would be nice to give something back.

Thankfully it is not terminal."

The charity head-shave will be held during a charity event at the Croxley Green pub and the proceeds from that day will be split between two charities- Macmillan Cancer Support and MS Society.

Krissie added: "I am really excited. I am a bit crazy- my hair is always different colours. I am excited, but nervous at the same time.

"If I could raise £300 between the two charities, that would be great, but the more merrier."
