The Big Toddle fundraising walk for under-fives is back for 2015 and shiver me timbers the theme is pirates.

Fundraisers who took part in the Watford walks netted £1,030 last year, and children's charity Barnardo’s is hoping to raise more money than ever this time round.

Barnardo’s is calling on nurseries, parents and child minders in the area to arrange an event to help the UK’s most disadvantaged children.

This summer’s pirate themed Big Toddle will see thousands of children and adults across the UK dressing up and walking the suggested half a mile with friends and family.

Since The Big Toddle began, families have helped Barnardo’s raise over £13.83 million, with 5,800 groups raising £680,000 last year alone.

Those registered will receive an event pack full of activities and ideas for their Big Toddle.
