A woman from watford shaved her head for two charities yesterday.

Krissie Power, of Whippendell Road, decided to cut all her hair off after she raised more than £1,700 for her Dad's bucket list.

Ms Power's father, who suffers from MS was recently diagnosed with a form of cancer known as Lymphoma.

The 29-year-old said: "I originally started this for my Dad after he got cancer to raise money to fund his bucket list.

"I said if we raise £500 I would shave my head."

In total, Ms Power, who tutors her children at home, raised £1,783 and yesterday stayed true to her word and shaved her head.

The event took place at the Red House pub in Watford Road and the money raised went towards two charities that have supported her Dad - MS Society and Macmillan Cancer Support.

She raised £710.93 for them.

Ms Power added: "It feels great. I have been told I suit the bold look - but every now and then I forget that I have shaved it and then catch a glimpse in the mirror and it's weird.

"The day went really well and I want to thank everyone who came and supported us and to Tesco for their donations."
