A Watford charity's annual eye camp gave more than 300 patients in Pakistan much needed cataract operations - the most in the Alma Hospital Trust's nine years of running it.
In the Spring camp more than 12,000 people attended the eye clinic and 857 people were treated for general eye-related problems.
The surgeons also operated on 328 patients to carry out cataract operations all of which were successful, in past years about 200 surgery patients have been able to be seen.
Spokesman for the trust, Mohammed Younis, said: "We would like to thank all those wonderful people who helped us to provide the precious gift of sight to those in desperate need."
