A cancer survivor has organised a golf day with evening buffet and entertainment to raise money for "absolutely fantastic" Macmillan Cancer Support.
John Murphy has organised the event for Friday, May 8, at Bushey Hall Golf Club, where some 62 golfers are already signed up to play 18 holes to be joined later by their partners and children for the evening entertainment, including buffet meal and a disco.
John, 47, of Mill Way, Bushey, was given the all clear after treatment for cancer in his tonsils and lymph nodes in November and wanted to do a fundraiser to thank Macmillan's dedicated team.
John said: "They were a big help, absolutely fantastic. The team gave so much of their own time away. I just wanted to say thank you."
Tickets are still available for £60 for the whole event or £10 adult £5 children just for the evening.
