Two children and an adult have been taken to hospital after a three vehicle crash in Rickmansworth this morning.
UPDATED: Two girls were taken to hospital after a 'head-on' collision between two vehicles.
Emergency services raced to London Road after three vehicles collided at around 7.41am this morning and one person was trapped in their vehicle after the crash.
London Road has been closed while Hertfordshire Constabulary tries to recover a silver Mercedes and a grey Citreon involved in the crash.
Sarah Spence, spokesman for Hertfordshire Constabulary, said five people had been injured in the crash.
Adam Gretton, spokesman for East of England Ambulance Service said: "We treated three people at the scene, one adult and two children.
"They all had minor injuries, but they were taken to Watford General Hospital for further treatment."
Firefighters were also called because someone was trapped in his vehicle after the crash.
Andrew Dawson, spokesman for Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue, said: “Three cars were in collision. One person trapped. We are working to release the person using our specialist cutting equipment.
