Virgin Trains has cancelled all of its services on Monday and Tuesday due to proposed strike action by union members.

All Virgin services in and out of Watford Junction on the West Coast Mainline have been put on hold due to the planned industrial action by the RMT and TSSA unions.

Network Rail workers will walk out at 5pm on Monday for 24 hours.

Virgin Trains has told all commuters to make alternative transport arrangements and urged them to check services before they travel on Sunday and Wednesday.

Any train user with a anytime, off-peak or super off-peak ticket valid on either the Monday or Tuesday will be able to use it for travel on Sunday or Wednesday, subject to usual travel restrictions.

Commuters with pre-booked tickets for either strike day may be able to use them on Sunday or Wednesday, or apply for a refund.
