A professional cook has sort to inspire the next generation of masterchefs at a Watford primary school by teaching the children how to make a posh three course meal.
Chef Danny Walsh visited Knutsford School, in Balmoral Road, on Friday to show the budding cooks a variety of techniques as part of the primary's 'University of Knutsford' vocational curriculum, which gives pupils a chance to become experts at a chosen subject.
Mr Walsh said: "I really have enjoyed this experience and have found it fun and very rewarding."
Oliver, who is in year six, said: "I have enjoyed learning cutting techniques and how to tell when meat is cooked. It’s good with Mr Walsh because he knows different techniques."
While Sophie, in year three, said: "I have really liked learning how to cook a whole meal - a starter, a main course and a pudding with a proper chef."
