Two dogs, believed to be pit bulls, were seized by police in South Oxhey yesterday.
Hertfordshire Constabulary said they received intelligence there were “potentially illegal breeds” of dogs at a home in Hayling Road.
Officers executed a warrant at 10am yesterday and seized the two dogs, which were described as “pit bull types”.
Giles Cooper, spokesman for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: “The investigation continues and further enquiries will be made to establish what breed the dogs are.”
