Rail unions have called off the proposed Bank Holiday strike after reaching an agreement with Network Rail.
The RMT and TSSA unions planned to walk out for 24 hours at 5pm on Monday in a row over pay.
The trade unions had rejected a four-year pay deal of a £500 increase followed by three years of rises in line with inflation.
The strike has been called off after the unions received a revised offer from Network Rail.
Commuters are being urged to check train services before they travel.
