Families gathered in Abbots Langley for a day of fun on the green last weekend hosted by members of Hillside Residents’ Association.

The event took place in School Mead on Saturday, May 16 and was sponsored by Watford Community Housing Trust, Abbots Langley Biz, Abbots Langley Parish Council, Watford Lions, Warner Bros. and Storey's Storage.

£201 was raised on the day for the village's defibrillator fund, meaning Hillside Residents' has raised a total of £1,000 so far this year towards the cause.

Peter Scott, chairman of the residents' association, said: "The people who came out thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the falconry display was the most enjoyed."
