A YouTube video featuring teachers from Kings Langley School singing and dancing to Uptown Funk has gone viral.

A Level Media students created a Kings Langley School version of the Mark Ronson song as part of Year 13 leaver’s celebrations, and within 24 hours of the video hitting the internet it gained over 6,500 views - with more and more every hour.

Luke Sills, head boy at Kings Langley School, said: "We decided to do the video to celebrate leaving Kings Langley after seven years of being there. We thought it would be a fun and exciting way of getting the teachers involved in our leaver’s celebrations.

"It was filmed and edited by Year 13 A Level Media students, Fateh Khaled and Layole Ogundimu, who both said it was the best piece of practical media they have done.

"It was definitely not a struggle to get the teachers involved. Mr Lewis the headteacher took it very seriously and thoroughly enjoyed filming it, alongside many other teachers - I think Mr Thomas (head of history) has become well known for his ‘spanking’ dance move from the film.

"We have all been surprised by the huge response it received, reaching well over 10,000 views in only a few days.

"To me, it really shows what Kings Langley School is all about - we are a content, hardworking and passionate community, and thoroughly enjoy working hard, but also playing hard too."
