Watford’s annual community fair will be taking place in the town centre this weekend.
This year’s fair will involve a marketplace of stalls set up over The Parade with more than 40 voluntary and community sector organisations and groups showcasing their work.
Watford Community Fair 2015 is a free event being held by the Pond on Saturday, May 30, between 10am to 4pm, and kicks off Volunteers Week - a national celebration of the contribution volunteers make.
Debbie Bezalel, director of community and voluntary services at Watford and Three Rivers Trust, said: "People are often surprised to hear that there are over four hundred local community and voluntary organisations and groups."
She continued: "The organisations and groups the trust work with rely heavily on volunteers. The community fair is a great way for anyone interested in becoming a volunteer or being more involved with a local community or voluntary group to come along and find out what opportunities are available."
