The Peace Hospice Care Summer Fete will be held on Sunday, June 28, at the Sun Postal Sports and Social Club.

The event offers fun for all the family and a chance to relax, unwind, laugh and raise funds for the hospice while enjoying a packed programme of music, school dance displays, an egg and spoon race and three-legged race.

Peace Hospice Care community fundraising manager Tracey Bravo said: "We have so much on offer at our Summer Fete.

"Gates open at 12pm until 6pm and we have six hours of good times including music from Tom Craven and Shades of Midnight, bouncy castles and children’s rides as well as delicious food and a licenced bar.

"We hope as many people as possible come and have a good time. This fundraiser will help support our services. We need to raise 4.2 million in charitable income to continue our services."
