The Watford Rotary Club handed out nearly £10,000 to charities at its annual general meeting this week.
The year-end donations went to Peace Hospice Care and Keech Hospice Care.
Other recipients included the Watford Blind Centre and Mary’s Meals, a charity focusing on providing free school meals and education in the third world.
Ginny Edwards, Club president, said: "We work hard at fund-raising through the year and it is great to see the results of our efforts when we are able to help so many charities."
